only free to air and stb encountered a software problem

Hi all,

since yesterday, I'm only able to receive FTA channels. Nothing was changed. This evening I was looking around the net and I tried to update the *******. Don't know if this actually happened. Anyway, now I can't enter my HDD with recorded stuff. I get this message:
your stb encountered a software problem and will be restarted. Mail crashrepprt ...

So, does anybody know why I suddenly cannot receive any channels anymore? Where do I have to look to find the possible causes?
