Please can someone help me?

I am running a VU Duo black hole 1.7.5. I can be watching a channel fine and then it will go blank and display
"service not found" "SID not found in PAT"

The screen stays blank but if I switch to another channel and back again its fine? The box has the latest service list scanned last week ?

Check LNB angle (position)!
Check Tuners configuration!

I have got my tuner set to Simple / No motor. Is there any other settings I can change? I have also backed up my system and restored onto my friends Vu Duo. his did exactly the same. Some times it will be fine all day then goes off.

Are there additional settings I can check in tuner? is the LNB angel position in the setup or outside on my mini dish?

-LNB @ Dish, when was the last time U adjusted your dish, lite movement (from wind, rain,,,,etc) will weaken the signal receptions!
-Try also re scan!

I have never touched my dish since install 3 years ago. The SNR shows 67% and the Agc shows 93%. I run a automatic scan 7 days ago. I have dual tuner and both are set the same, do I run the automatic scan or do I need to run the manual scan?

I think the SNR percentage fluctuates between 0% and 67% and not stable, is that correct!
For re scan ,both are OK!
Or U may try , the latest,ready made settings!
If the same problem persist, then something to do with LNB/Dish adjustments!

Hello a911,

This is correct I am sure my SNR should be higher. I can scan all channels fine using the Blackhole automatic scan. Only thing is when I got to BH default services list section it says (there are no default services lists in your image) I don't know how to rectify this?

Any ideas?

When I put my image on it goes through the blackhole wizard setup and when I get to service list it says no default service list found. I have all the channels now but did an automatic channel scan. If I go to the menu then setup and select service searching. I select default service lists and it says none are present. I don't know how to rectify this please can you help?

May be it is missing from the image!
Make personal backup (to keep important items)...and re flash the image!

By the way,,,did U make a new satellite.xml?
If not, use satellite.xml generators (http://satellites-xml.eu/),,,,for new file!

this problem in vu+duo just i change the stb to uno problem its gone also in my dm7020hd no problem just in vu+duo i think it is manufacture problem

Incorrect. There is no problem at all.
Info "service not found" "SID not found in PAT" will be displayed when there is problem with your list, e.g. channels have been moved recently to another transponder. It could be also problem with your satellites.xml as my friend @a911 posted above:

If this file is too old you'll definitely get 'service not found...'.
But you did not want to read it, did you?

This may or may not be completely the correct thread.

I have been having a problem for some time now with Eurosport 2 disappearing. I have tried on other forums to get a satisfactory solution but no luck so far. This was my post:

I have a Vu+Duo using Black Hole 1.7.9 and ***** 2.2.1. I have a canaldigitaal card and all the channels work well except for Eurosport 2(Astra 19.2). It can take up to 9 minutes before I get video and sound on this channel. I wonder if ***** 2.2.1 has a switching or loading problem, as Eurosport 2 from Canaldigitaal happens to have the lowest frequency of all the offered channels. All the other channels switch very fast, only this one does not.
I make my own bouquets and upload them from my PC to my box using DreamSet. I have tried refreshing all channels, but that did not help.
Any ***** experts out there who can shed a light on this problem?

Additional info. At times I can get an EPG from Eurosport 2 and no picture or sound. At other times no EPG at all. Currently it has taken more than 30 minutes with no picture, after which I get fed up waiting and change channels!

Since reading this thread I have checked my Satellites.xml file by comparing the one on my box with a newly generated one. The entry in question is:
“<transponder frequency="10921000" symbol_rate="22000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="0" modulation="1"/>”
which is the same in both files.
I notice that Eurosport 2 is the only one of my channels on the Astra 1KR satellite. All my other channels are on the 1M or 1L satellites. Could that have anything to do with it? Could it be that my LNB is just a bit off correct alignment? (I do not have the problem on my very old Challenger II STB)

Any help or comments would be appreciated!
