Software/ Firmware upgrades via internet BH 2.05

Can someone please advise on the correct sequence and perhaps explain the differences?

Firstly I notice I have the following three possibilities:-

1. BH image upgrade via addons menu (Clearly the actual BH software that was flashed via USB)
2. Firmware upgrade via plugin browser menu
3. Software Update via the Software mangement menu

I am not clear on the correct sequence?.
If new features in the Blackhole Image are dependent on a modification of the firmware or software (Linux or enigma graphics before it will work then obviously those updates should be done in advance. I don't know the dependencis between them? or the revisions of 2. and 3. required to ensure stability of the BH image?

I did wonder if the software upgrade (2.) was only related to the Vu Duo 2 official software and will never be required to be updated? I also am assuming the FPGA firmware upgrade is the BIOS handling and as VU Duo improve it the it would be best to keep this upto date

There is not a specific order.
1. That feature issue the online update of a specific BH Image. It's placed into Addon Menu to be friendly avaiable for any user
2. The Firmware Plugin updates chip firmware and should be used ONLY when Vu+ releases an update for their internal chips. Usually the producer announce updates via official website

Thanks for a quick response, that explains it perfectly.

I will monitor the official VU site to check up on any chip firmware upgrades and use either 1. or 3. to check for any BH Image updates
