solo SE and Vu+ android app = no livestream

For the life of me i cannot get this to work.
Everything on my vu+ solo se is set up right and with the vu+ hd app on my tablet i can control the stb and can even make screenshots (in the screenshots the tv image is visible) but livetv streaming won't work. It just sits there wit the vu+ logo rotating in the middle of the screen and the text "please wait a moment" underneath it.

does anyone have a tutorial on how to use livestream? Port 8001 on my router is open and as i said i can control the stb from my tablet just fine...

don't know what to do anymore as i bought this stb just to do this...

IIRC you can user a different player (rather than the embeded one). I use mediaplayer pro and it works exceptionally well.

oh they changed the app, i used the old APK one, there is a new one on the play store. i just installed it on my tab, will let you know how i get on

Well... i installed it, pointed it to the box (vu zero auto detected). and it just worked.. video streams fine.

I am on android 4.4 (vendor hasn't released lollipop yet)
