Switching off Duo2

Maybe a stupid question, but Duo2 is my first Linux-based device and I want to be sure. When I want completely switch off my box I press Standby on remote, then I turn off the switch on back panel. Is it correct? Thank you.

If you want to poweroff your box without switch off it with the back button you can put your box into Deep standby.

you can put your box into Deep standby.

Go to: Menu --> Setup --> System --> Customise

and you will find a few options you can choose. Below is what I have chosen:

Action on long powerbutton press: immediate shutdown
Action on short powerbutton press: Standby

I think this is the best setting ;)

Thank you for your reply. Well, I prefer totally cut the power when not in use, this is the reason for which I use back switch. Is it good my proceeding? Standby on remote, then back switch? Any software shutdown is needed? Thank you.

ah ok, I didn't see this menu. I noted that long press standby opens a menu in which you can choose how to switch off, probably this is default configuration. I will change as you suggested. Thank you.

I suggest to deep standby the box and next turn the back button on OFF position.
