System time

Hi have been looking through the forum's and have seen some relating to system time and recordings is this a ongoing problem?
My previous unit a DM800se had the same problem but was solved with a plugin I downloaded from (Don't know if I can refer to other images so sorry if inappropriate) Open Pli 4 image and in the download section (System Time). This worked first time and never missed a recording and the time shown on the box was always accurate even in standby. Would this plugin work on the vu+solo 2.
The plugin I used was enigma2 plugin systemplugins systemtime 32 mipsel .ipk

Tried to find the IPK but it is something that is now downloaded from within OpenPli's plugin in the image its called systemtime (1.0-rc2) don't know if that helps.

Why ask about Openpli plugin on a BH site. What does systemtime do exactly as a plugin called Autotimer on the Addons list can record series.
