Transfer of system configuration

Hello all,

I recently purchased VU+ Solo2. Until that I had VU+ Solo clone. I just installed BH 2.06 on my new Solo2 and installation went without any problem. I set up basic configuration and everything is fine, but I do not know how to transfer configuration from my old Solo to new one. I have backup of system configuration from my old Solo (there is BH 1.6.6 on it), so can I restore it on my new Solo2?

I also want to put an hard disk from my old Macbook. How do I need to format that disk so Solo2 can recognize it?

In short, no, I don't think you can transfer using backup.
You could transfer bouquets using a program like dreambox edit, but don't think much else.

Also, no clone support on this forum mate.

I put a unformatted harddrive in the solo2 and let solo2 format it.
Think it is called initialize hard disk, can't check now.

I would of thought you could just put your drive in and use solo2 to format, may as well try it.

I understand that but you are asking also how to transfer configuration for the fu***ng clone to your new Solo2 .... and this can be configured for "clone support" and it's not admitted here.

Think its menu>setup> hard drive..... Or system>hard drive

Initialise..... Then press red button to format it.

After I opened box with my Solo2, just tested is it working and after that open case and put my drive in it (I forgot to format drive before I pulled it out from my laptop). Solo2 with it fabric image could not boot up with it (there was loading message on the screen for more then 5 minutes). Pulled out the hard drive from Solo2 and installed latest BH. Deleted all partitions, put it back and everything is fine now. Solo2 recognized drive and I initialisated it following yummer instruction. Maybe with BH Solo2 could recognize unformat drive, but not sure.

One more thing, I was sure that I set up time, but now when I power on Solo2, date and time is wrong. BH remembered my time zone, but I can’t find where I can set up time. Can you help me with it, please?

Time is usually set off sattelite I think mate.

Yup, yummer, you are right, date and time are set up via satellites.

I have new problem now. I thought that I set up my Solo2 completely, because it worked in the room where I have cable without positioner. I turned my dish with positioner (which is in the other room) to Astra. On Solo2 I select tuner configuration for tuner A, then configuration mode to simple, mode to DiSEqC A/B, port A Astra, port B Hot Bird, select automatic scan and after finished scan got picture. After that take my Solo2 to the room with positioner, connected it to the first tuner, set up configuration mode to advanced, but from LNB got next message "not available“ . Also tried with with configuration mode – simple, mode – positioner, but scan can't find anything. What I am doing wrong?

Is there any way to configure BH through computer? My family wants to kill me, because they can't watch TV when I am trying to set up Solo2, so I have to wait them to go to bed

Sorry, can't help with problem, but that made me laugh. Same problem here, a couple of times I've started altering stuff when they've gone to sleep and ended up staying up till 4am just to get a picture again!

It was my mistake. Did not connect correctly coax cable from positioner to Solo2.

I just finished automatic scan but find only ca. 500 services. In my positioner is stored 10 satellites and as far as I can remember there were ca. 10000 services before. I also notice that for some position on positioner on its display got message:–I instead Pxx, so I assume that there is some problem. Any help please?
