in SOLO2 have the same problem it's possible an update of drivers of BlackHole images to correct this problem.

I also have the same dongal.
i am using BH 2.1.1 build 22/4/2014.
the Vu+solo recognizes the usb dongal but it will not save?
any ideas?

Is there any progress? I have a RTL8188EU USB dongel, and con not get to work on Solo2 2.1.0.1 and a Duo 2.1.0.1. Can not get it to work on either of them. I do see the adapter in gui, but scan for network does not show any.

If you see the adapter in the "Wireless LAN Setup" plugin mean the adapter is detected in some manner.
Can you post here a screenshot? Can be very useful the output files accordingly with my sticky thread in this section.

I have an 8192cu adapter and it works fine on same box.
Also there is a bug in the GUI of VU plus. I can not add a WPA/WPA2 password with parentheses like this: MyPassword(3000).
It will tell that it can not generate passprhase or some like that.

But not this:
wpa_passphrase my ssid password

Nor this:
wpa_passphrase myssid password(3000)

Still no news? I have tp link TL-WN725N v2.1
Vu+ zero with blackhole 2.1.4 does no see the device
Vu+ ultimo detects device but cant save config or activate the network.

Any chance to get it work?

I saw this thread and I did this usb wifi:
tp-WN725N version 2.0 I put in the vusolose and I set it up and then detects the network vuscar says something about not finding AP and does not connect me.
Valla who recognizes but does not work, is there any solution to this problem or there will be more later, is wait or return the usb wifi.
A I have put the BlackHole 2.1.4 image.
