Various litte problems ..

I got a Vu+Duo2 and of course I've Installed BH2.081, then all the pugin I usually use on my Ultimo: I just have 2 problems

1) At channel change the screen freeze on last image till new channel is tuned, but if the new channel is crypted Iìd like to have blank screen...

2) After loading a lcd4linux config file I got strange font on display (NOT ON LCD) : big and centered so that a lot of text goes out....

Hheeheh old friend,

1. In zapping mode slection plugin
you have two options

MUTE or HOLD
But not HOLD and MUTE at the same time.

I think MUTE it's the ideal option
at least for me.

2.
which one Color LCD or VFD


VFD does not have any relation with Lcd4Linux coding and fonts
If the Color LCD then you have not good config file

To add

In lcd4Linux >>LCD4linux Settings
you can choose the font with OK from font folder /usr/share/fonts .

In LCD4linux Display-Mode
you can tune font size,aligment e.t.c

We have nice font with name titles.ttf in this folder

Ops... I did exclude this plugin during installation, now all is ok !!!

Yes I know, my problem is with VFD : I did a factory reset to solve without reinstalling. I don't know what happens but now is ok

You can test with my config and picons
and try also this titles font

Here I am

I want to repost a problem that I got on Vu+Ultimo and now on Vu+Duo2: may be now, with more experience and knowledge will be possible to solve it.

I have a NAS (QNAP TS210) and I have some folder shared with my Duo2 using NFS , one of these folder is marked as "HDD replacement" .
All is working perfectly and I can record, see media and I see also other shared folders , but I cannot use Backup procedure and I cannot
create a swap fiel because it says that I have not an HDD....
I use ONLY BH images and I'm pretty sure that some version ago all was working fine 'cause I made a backup of the system on the NAS...

Can someone help me?, of course I'm at disposal for every test will need

I have not test sky epg but,

Skin does not have any relation with EPG data
Internet EPG depends on the server
and Open EPG depends on Epg data from transponder/provider.

I think it's better to use a USB stick for this function

Which Sky ?

I have test Open EPG download from transponder epg channel for 7 days
I used CrossEpg open Epg download
Maybe not with complete extended description for all channles
but it is a problem from the provider
but I have 7 days epg

For Rytec internet XMLTV servers epg im not sure if he is working in this moment.
I think this is servers and not image problem

As you can see from the CrossEPG log
downloading from the XMLTV EPG server also works.
( Try before download to update XMLTV/xepgdb providers in CrossEpg panel)
The only question is how good is EPG

But it has nothing to do with the BH image

OK. Give me some examples of channels with an empty description field.
They are not supposed to be empty. And most are not, but it is possible I have to tweak some grabber definitions.
