Very Newbie question Please

I realise that this may seem like a stupid question to most but, if I buy a solo from the UK, will it operate in the same way in Cyprus, in other words, similar to the dreambox I have now, using the dish I have set up for the dreambox.

Yes.
Works in the same way as other Enigma2 based boxes.

Don't worry, you can buy your box where you like and you can use it everywere.

Thank you both for your speedy replies. Also, can I ask, Although I have two dishes and therefore 2 LNB's, they only come into the house as one cable. So am I right in thinking that the 'Solo' will suffice for my needs? Is the 'Duo' for when you have two cables coming into the house?

Also, I have a brand new spare Western Digital 2 TB USB hard drive, would I be able to plug this in to record programs on?

LooK @ the folowing and make up U'r mind,,,

Vu + solo difference between Duo:-

Smaller in size, and uglier.
Boxes can not be inserted into the hdd.
No access to e-sata.
There is only one tuner. (Duo model Has 2)
No front panel display.
Rear panel on / off button does not exist.
Has two USB inputs. (Duo model Has 3).
Unit has a smart card reader. (2 Duo model).
A single-core processor. (A dual-core Duo model).
One scart. (Duo has 2)
No RF out

The Vu+Duo has two tuners and to make the most of them you have to connect two cables.

You can use an HDD internal (SATA) or external (USB or eSATA) with Vu+Duo whereas you can connect only external USB with Vu+Solo.
