Solo2 VU+ Solo2 stuck on starting...

Hi,
I have had my solo2 for about 3 weeks after replacing a faulty duo which was 18 months old. I tried to start it yesterday and it came up with a menu offering only shutdown, restart, restart enigma or standby - everything I pressed did nothing except restart the box. I switched off from the back and switched on and it was stuck on Starting.... for ages. I did this again and same thing, the third time it started normally.

I am using BH 2.0.6.

Should I return to the seller and get a replacement or avoid VU? I don't want to replace if the solo2 is prone to these errors. I never had this with the duo until it died with red light problem.

You can try to reflash your box, remove also your HDD (if you have it) and all other USB devices except the one used for flash step....
If you see "Starting..." it's a good signal ... and can be recovered quickly with reflash

Hi,
I tried a reflash yesterday and upgraded to 2.0.7, I had issues with 2.0.6 when the box was working, webif streaming over lan was not working. It seems to be working ok in 2.0.7 so hopefully the box is not a dud.

There is no such official VU+ receiver, as the VU+ Solo2 SE, that is a clone, there are VU+ Solo 2, or the VU+ Solo SE v2.
Clones aren't welcome, on the forum, so please check which VU+ model, you have.
