Watch other channel while recording

Hi Folks, i'm new to this so correct me if i placed this in wrong forum or other things.

I have twin lnb and vu duo is connected by two cables, and i setup both tuners.
In my opinion now i should be able to watch a different channel while recording one channel, however when i try so, i get a black screen. what is wrong or am i doing wrong... ???

BTW, watching a FTA program while recording is working so it has to do with the common-interface/card.

Im from holland and use Canal-Digitaal.

Anyone familiar with this?

If you have coneckt 1 cable to your box will be record chanell and will be possible see chanells only from this transponder where is record chanell.

If you have coneckt 2 cable and 2 converter to your box will be record chanell and will be possible see chanells from satelite whot see second converter and chanells from this transponder where is record chanell.

@Hans Wolvers : your CI module has to be able to decrypt 2 or more channels at time (they are called PRO 2, 4, 8 modules)

I use Canal Digitaal as well. The easiest way to decode the channels is to use a software cam. This is not supported on this site and if you mention the name or anything about it, you can be banned from the site for a period. But to help you, download and install C**** 2.3.0 and select it under the blue button. It should work out-of-the-box without any further changes. Beware! Do not mention the name or you will be banned, as I was in the past. I do not advocate this or any other form of software cam, it just happened to work immediately for me and I offer it as information only, with the hope that this rather stupid rule that this site has will not be applied to me for giving information to a fellow user.

User has already banned for the same reason. I've increased their ban to 1 MONTH.
