Which hardware for IPTV along Satellite Channels

Hi ),

I have Vu+ Solo Se v2, BH3.01

Aprx. a year ago I tried to run IPTV on this image or OpenHole but all the channels freezed after 2-3 seconds (of course converted to the correct format from m3u list to bouquet list )

Two questions please:
1) Can I run on my device IPTV smooth or it is to old?
2) If yes for above question then how? and if not which boxes support smooth IPTV services along sat channels?

Hi, sure IPTV works....
if your stream is a legal stream You can post the link and someone can try...
if your strem is not a legal strem I think this is not the right place to discuss..... admins declared that is not allowed every reference to code, software cam, illegal stream and so on.....

You have to realize that Kodi, and IPTV, are streams, they are viewed via your internet connection, from a server, thus are liable to experience problems, especially if the stream is HD, 720, and even worse if it's 1080.
There will also be problems if the server is busy, and can't cope with the demand, or experiencing other problems.

The one advantage with Kodi is that you can have an option to download the stream, to view later, thus you should have no problems, with buffering, also you have the option of a number of streams, which means that if you have a problem you can try a different stream, of course these don't work on live streams.

I'm aware of all these limitations, the point is that I do try the same link on my PC - it works perfectly.
moreover, which is super strange at least to me, that it works good also through HTTP interface by clicking the channel "play with VLC" palyer - but again on my PC.

I had VuDuo (the very first box) where I was explained that the hardware of this box cannot support IPTV.
Sold this one, bought SoloSE but still cannot play IPTV :(((

How have you set it up?
I know the old VU+ Duo couldn't handel Kodi, at least the later versions, but I thought it could handle IPTV.

Works perfect.

On Vu box the following steps:

Converting to format of (example .m3u):

After the restart VU shows these channels in "favourites" (or whatever I put it) but when I zap on one of the channels after like 2-3 seconds freezes (black screen).


*I wouldn't break my head, I'm totaly fine with Android box, the thing is that this is for my parents who are not so young, for them mouse and keyboard are to much :(.
They need to zap simple "up" "down" or channel number. So even Kodi doesn't help here (.

You seem to be making it more difficult than it is.
You just need to telnet the list, to your receiver, once you have that done then you use dreamboxedit to download your full channel list, set up bouquets, and organize your channels.
Try searching the internet for How to Load IPTV on VU+ receiver, or How to Load IPTV on Enigma 2 receiver, you should find a number of videos showing you how to do it.

I'll try to telnet (next week, can't do it from here, I do have dynDNS but still it is behind the NAT, didn't define port forwarding to Vu+)
