Hi,
This post is quite long. I hope someone will take the time to help me resolve some of the problems I'm facing under Black Hole 2.1.4 as I haven't find solutions on the web for a few days...
First question : why 1920x1080 resolution is missing from xbmc configuration ?
I tried to play with xbmc but saw this trick on a forum and I wasn't able to find ".Xbmc" so decided to run xbmc.
"To be sure that Xbmc is not filling your flash, after the first Xbmc launch check your filesystem. If you have the folder .Xbmc in the root dir "/.Xbmc" you have to copy it on /media/hdd and then delete from the root."
After adding 5 tv shows on the xbmc library, I started having problems (at boot a message saying that timer.xml may be corrupt, etc). Well, I found that the reason was that the flash was full. I tried to find and delete big unuseful files using Putty (I wasn't able to connect fia ftp, as service was disabled and I could enable it) but couldn't. As I found two "xbmc" folders (one under "/usr/share/" and the second under "/usr/lib", I decided to move them via the file manager (in TS Panel) to my NAS as the box was constantly generating errors and booting. This allowed me to free some space on the flash. Xbmc no longer works. Can I install xbmc plugin from Ts panel ?
Since, I cannot enable ftp service from Ftp Panel (pressing twice blue button to access it). Does someone know how I could start it from Putty ?
Backup question :
I made a full backup from Backup menu and obtained 3 files :
root_cfe_auto.bin
kernel_cfe_auto.bin
force.update
File "force.update" is empty. Is this normal and will I be able to make a restore ?
Picons problem :
I created "picon" folder (with all picon file with png extension) on my usb stick and installed Cool Tv Guide.
I mapped the stick to /media/usb and I'm able to see picons under Cool Tv Guide but icons do not show hp on the infobar.
Does someone know how to solve this ? Can someone explain to me what's the difference to map usb stick to /media/hdd or /media/usb ? First I mapped to /media/usb but full backup didn't work so I had to map to /media/hdd.
Last question :
I created a crontab entry to run a script that loops every minute. This is the entry :
*/1 * * * * /usr/script/script.sh > /dev/null 2>&1
It runs well but doesn't when box is in sleep mode. How to run this script in sleep mode ?
Thanks a lot to all of you and have a nice day.
Jo
