finally done !
the important path is : usr/share/enigma2/skin.xml
and the other png files from usr/share/enigma2/skin_default/*.png (but not inculde MENU & ICONS & SPINNER & BUTTONS folders)

just replace these files from 1.4.2 and enjoy nice and perfect 1.4.2 infobar :)

thanks Tamaki

I wish it was default skin of 1.4.4
I also did the above process and now i enjoy the very best previous (1.4.2) infobar with this new release (1.4.4)...
Many thanks to Plusforce!

P.S.
Please explain to us moreover the detailed process with the new method you just wrote about the infobar!

I changed the *.png files as Plusforce wrote before but i found a small ''bug'' on the layout images...Everything else are doing fine!!!
As you can see from the previous screenshots i took, the small icons of the menu's is a bit left than the default point...that means that it is not shown well and other icons are above them, hiding them...
Does anybody know how we can increase or decrease the grid poster height or width and place the icons in their default location in the panel?
Thanks in advance...
I think it is a job for those who really knows programming Linux.... ;)

Dear Dachtus ,
here you are , it is my final files ,
install a fresh 1.4.4 image.
extract engima2.rar and replace contents exactly in the same folders.
usr/share/enigma2/*.*
I editet skin.xml and just modify the infobar lines .
and a small point is , I used the 1.4.4 signal bar in double click (colourful one) it is more beautiful !

it has no bug !
Enjoy it :)

I will try it in the next days and i will come back with my feedback!
Thanks in advance Plusforce! Nice work!
I have another question...
Which one is the ideal-recommended swap file size for my usb stick (1Gb) which is mounted on my Vu+Solo?
Is it really helps the box to overcome crashes from RAM overloaded?
I have got many crashes-green screen due to the EPG overload and i want to solve that problem...
I usually download 3-4 EPG's (Rytek IT-DE-Nova-Csat) but i am not happy from my box...
It seems like could not manage such information from the EPG's...
Is it so weak for that processes? :(

I use to have a 64MB swap file.
I don't think you can solve your epg problem with swap file.
I think the maximum ammount of epg is 14 MB (or something like that), so 1 or 2 providers.

Because I've problems with hdtv recordings (in most of the cases there are a few errors in the recorded ts), I want to make some tests with an external usb 3,5'' drive, which is ntfs formatted.

But the receiver stops booting with the attached drive.

I'm not sure whether this is a good idea because NTFS uses a lot of CPU
writing our beta testers.
First you have to look in Kernel Modules Setup (Black Hole Settings Panel)
if you have Ntfs support enabled.
But you can try to add this line in your fstab file in /etc with linux editor.
mount -t ntfs-3g /media/hdd
Reboot
but i have not test this .

I think an entry like

mount -t ntfs-3g /media/hdd

doesn't fit in fstab.

Second I miss the name of the device in your mount.

But if the cpu-load of ntfs-3g is to high, my tests make no sense.

But I have no problem with the NTFS and boot image.
I have test with VUduo but i will test also with VUsolo.
This problem may also have other causes

Thanks :)

So I will try:

ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /media/hdd

In the moment I make a hdtv test recording on a NAS.

If there are no errors in the recording my problem is perhaps solved.

Im testing now and
I also have problems with recording on an NTFS
Perhaps someone with more experience .

But I have no problems with reading and booting image
with NTFS .I do not use ,but it is interesting to test .

So, there are 4 errors in a 9 GB HDTV recording (NAS).

After erasing the line with /dev/sda1 in /etc/fstab booting with connected USB NFTS drive is not longer a problem.

Mouting is done by:

ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /media/hdd

My first speedtest shows, that an ext3 formatted USB disk is much faster.

I've started a hdtv test recording on the NTFS disk, it runs

NTFS has in my eyes one advantage.

Data exchange betweeen Windows PC and receiver is much easier.
