BH v1.75 is working fine with me, but I cannot upgrade it .
I tried to upgrade to v1.76 , v1.77 & v1.78 but my VU+ Duo is stucking/freezing on the startup "Starting...."
I even tried to upgrade loader thru flashing "duo_cfe_3_0_usb.zip" but no way!
IS THAT BECAUSE I HAVE CLONE VU+ DUO ??? Pls Help...

That could be.
Do you have the possibility to check if your box is genuine?

Mine does this all the time sometimes i have to turn it off at the back 2 or 3 times before its starts normally then sometimes it starts normally straight off.
A few people seem to be having the same issue can a fix be found for it?
My box isn't a clone as i bought it when they first came into the uk, its rev1.3 if thats any help.

It is generally not a problem with the USB Stick
but the problem is that VUduo starts not good if you have only EXT
partitions on USB stick.
You need to make also a small FAT partition on USB stick as I already wrote earlier
in this thread.

If you using USB stick only for picon but not for universe and Meoboot
you can mount but not Format in the image usb stick FAT32 formated with Device Manager
and use without this problem.

This is a specific problem with VUduo with USB EXT format on starting
which I have not find in other boxes.

But if you prepare the USB stick as I wrote before
then the problem is solved in the long term.

It seems to have done the trick , the display flashes up briefly with reading usb ,its probably at that point where it goes wrong sometimes the display reading is corrupt.
I will post back in a few days just to make sure it worked ok.

Gentlemen,
I need to know why the "freezing at the start" occurred only after I finish upgrading to BH v1.76 or above versions!
The problem is not related to usb stick or box genuine issues, because I'm able to re-flash the BH v1.75 & earlier versions!

There should be a plug installed.
Green botton, Run it and check.

Where did you buy your box from ?

How old is it ?

Did it have a sticker on the top of it ?

remove the ethernet cable and switch off and on again.
If it then boots up you will need to manually add the IP details then plugin the ethernet.
Sometimes after a flash install it can't get an IP automatically and it just hangs.
