limitations of VU+ Solo?

Hi,

I was wondering whether the slower CPU in Solo might be a limitation? Are there any actions that can't be performed on Solo due to lower CPU speed?

Are there perhaps any other limitations that I should take into count? Unstable firmware, problems with cams, etc?

Many thanks in advance!

I would like to know also why is VU+ Solo CPU downclocked to 220 MHz?

root@vusolo:~# cat /proc/cpuinfo
system type : BCM97xxx Settop Platform
build target : vusolo
processor : 0
cpu model : Brcm4380 V4.12 FPU V0.0
cpu MHz : 220.67
BogoMIPS : 220.67 ( udelay_val : 110336 HZ = 1000 )
wait instruction : yes
microsecond timers : yes
tlb_entries : 32
extra interrupt vector : yes
hardware watchpoint : yes
ASEs implemented : mips16 dsp mt
VCED exceptions : not available
VCEI exceptions : not available
RAC setting : I/D-RAC disabled
unaligned access : 2357682
rdhwr/brdhwr traps : 0 / 0

I do not buy answers like:Regarding cpu speed 220M at /proc/cpuinfo, we got an answer from
Broadcom saying that "Linux kernel 2.6.18's information of cpu can
diverge if cpu has very long pipeline which is the case in 7325".

The only difference is the speed of image boot

But that consumes little power can be constantly in standby
Otherwise, TV image quality, and all work are great.
and certainly at the level of all other HD receivers.
which are much more expensive.
With the use of appropriate skin without heavy graphics
and bad coding. The receiver is almost as fast as the older brother.
In addition, this receiver is totally silent.

I have to add.
Box have ideal size for me is not small nor big.Very solid construction.
I have already previously wrote that for me the biggest surprise is the TV picture quality,
What is the same quality as in four times more expensive HD receivers.

I totally agree, for normal use it is a great dec.
The other differences from vu+duo are:
1 cardreader instead of 2
1 tuner instead of 2
1 back usb instead of 2.

About img quality and stability nothing to say, for me it is OK.

Thank you for your comments, I'll go with VU+ Solo.

The lack of internal HDD is not an issue, since it's possible to record to NAS. Other limitations also don't pose any problems for me.
And for €260(http:) it's really a good deal, comparing to other receivers in that price range.
