epg,,, no matter what i seem to do if i select standby off a night in the morning the epg has cleared using opentv for the epg any advice ?????

You have to setup the device to save epg data file.

Blue Panel -> EPG Panel -> Global Settings:...

Dont think thats the problem mito, its set to send to media/ hdd /epg.dat .....so that seems ok

Is your hdd correctly mounted by devices manager?

Yes, you have to map it as /media/hdd

Afraid i am back cleared again this morning no epg,, sorted it all, updated it yesterday now its gone again

Try to make Restore @ BH Epg Backup!
And lets if that works!

Delete Epg.dat file from HD and usb stick then download epg I had this problem and that is how I cured it.

I use FTP for all deletion!

Ok all gone again this morning, but restore worked fine, put it in standby last night and it had all cleared this morning

Did you delete the epg.dat file from usb stick and hd as stated this solved it for me

yes got rid of them done the update and they were ok until the auto update and that seems to be clearing the old and not replacing it with the new

sorted it, i was saving opentv for sky uk and italy to the hdd just too much i think,, went back to usb storage and its fine
