You are very correct, can't seem to find a way around itOn recorded programmes the subtitles are not in sync
During live broadcast of the same program they are perfect though
Please test and confirm
Has this been fixed yet?
Hi
It's fairly straightforward
Tune to a uk channel with subtitles, active (English) subtitles, note that they are perfectly in sync.
Record the program for 5 mins
Stop recording and playback
Activate subtitiles on recording and note that they are now out of sync and if I remember rightly appear too soon.
As per post #3 the subtitles button does not work on playback, you need to go through the audio options to enable/disable.
Worth trying...FYI
This has happened to me to, on my ultimo.
Jumping forward and back again via 3 and 1 button, will eventually get the subtitles back in sync.
Best Regards
I talked abot issue looong time.
This is fixed in all pli based images, like black pole...
Yes this have been an issue for a long time.
The market for subtitling is unfortunately not big (mostly Scandinavia and some more country) and therefor maybe the subtitling issue has always ended up in the end of the to do list.
I wonder if Pli image has fixed this? I think there is some Kernel fix to do and DM/VU does not bother to even try.
Yes, Whatever. The main thing is that the everlasting subtitle problem will get a decent solution in the endKernel fix? I think can be an E2 fix but not a kernel fix.

No, whether you have the subtitles on during the thing you are recording or not makes no difference
When you (re)watch the same program the subs are out of sync.
Watching live broadcasts with the subtitles is fine
I would also point out that when watching a recorded programme/film to active the subtitles you have to (on my Duo anyway) do a dance of audio menu options as the subtitles button doesn't work, this is also annoying and should be fixed.
