Vu+ Duo media player

Hi,

I'm trying to use Vu+Duo to watch MKV and divx movies.
I have watched 2-3 MKV without problems but it's impossible to watch divx because the movies aren't fluid.

I would like to know if it's some drivers issues (I hope ;-)) or it's the hardware that don't have enough power to decode divx?

best regards,
stp

The DivX play is very depending from codecs used by encoding your DivXes.
I've played some films and TV series in these days but any play is without problem.

I watch divx without problem, try to open the avi files with tool like GSpot and check the type of codec used in the movie with problem.

Edit: I'm late

If you have problems, try to reboot.
Mediaplayer drivers are still not perfectly stable.
It may happen the same file will work after reboot.

Hi
I have the same problem with mediaplayer of Vu+ Duo.
I have watched 10 MKV without problems but it's impossible to watch divx because the movies aren't fluid.
I have try to reboot and deactivate the auto resolution, but the problem persists.

It is strange that adminstrators, coders etc - don't have any provlems with divixes - but other users unfortunately have...
Please guys - the problem exists and you know that.

I also found other problems with media player:

1. MP3 playback (VU Duo is connected with amplifier with optical toslink cable, and HDMI to my LCD) is not working when I turn off TV. Music plays couple seconds and after that going crazy.
2. DTS passthrough is not perfect - very often I have problems with 1080p movies (autoresolution set to 1080p24) with 1500kbps DTS track. Sound on my amplifier is breaking and going back every few seconds.
3. There is no DTS downmix via HDMI
4. DivX problems like above.

i think these problems are most important to solve in media player. I didn't test new december driveres yet - I will do this today evening - but I am pretty sure that they still exist.

Since november 2010 there are problems with playing music files:
After ending a music file the player often jumps to a random position in the next file or to a random position in a different file in the playlist. You need to select a new file to correct this but sometimes this results in a black screen and you need to restart the mediaplayer.
This still happens with the latest drivers but it does not happen with older drivers. So if you want to play music files the box in not usefull unless you use old drivers !!!
I can imagine that this problem is not known yet by the driver devellopers. It should be possible to solve because the problem does not appear in the old drivers.

I've tried to use different images (original, BlackHole, Gigant) with different versions. Unfortunately every time i have the same problems.
1. The first-one is with DTS - on my Denon amplifier (connected via HDMI with VU DUO) sound is breaking when i am watching for example Transformers Revenge of The Fallen 1080p
2. The second problem is with simple DivX movies, they are not fluid.

Does anybody has some helpful informations ?? This is very tiring when I want to use my home cinema system, but I can't because of some codecs are not implemented successfully.

Best regards

Hello everybody,
I have seen the same issue too, on my VU+ duo and also on my brother's one.
Playing the divx movies is not fluid.
I was using the Black hole image v1.4.4 and now I am running the VTI v2.5, and the problem exist on the both boxes.
I hope there will be a fix very soon.
