Could someone please tell me what the difference is between OpenTV EPG and CrossEPG? Can they both be used together? I use them both with the following settings:
These are my settings for EPG Panel:
Menu > EPG Panel. Press red for Global Settings. Have following settings:
Enable OpenTV EPG Loader: Yes
Enable EPG Pop-up Notifications: Yes
Enable EPG Buttons in Channel List: Yes
Path to save EPG File: /hdd/epg.dat
Click Red button to save.
Back in previous menu, select "Rytec-SkyUK". Press Green button for Provider Settings. Press Red for Settings. Have these settings:
Enable Automatic EPG Refresh: Yes
Refresh EPG every day at time: 6AM (enter any time you want.)
Press Yellow for "Download Now".
Cross EPG Settings
Menu > Setup > CrossEPG, Configure (the Configure option may not appear the 1st time you select the menu but it will once you do the below).
Storage Device: Select "Hard Drive"
Enable CSV Import: Yes
Force EPG Reload on boot: Yes
Scheduled Download: Once a day
Scheduled Download at: 6AM
Show as Plugin: Yes
Show as Extension: Yes
Show "Force reload" as plugin: No
Press Green for OK.
On previous menu select "Open TV Providers". Press select on "Sky UK OpenTV (Astra2 on 28.2)" and it should now be ticked. Press Yellow to download. You will now see a downloading message. Once that's finished you'll be back in the menu again. Press save.
