Is add to all settings on feed i think good way is download one from feed and next scan your satelite .
Or download setting to pc and copy to box only satellites.xml

My ftp and telnet stopped working but webif works and network it's ok.
On black hole setting panel ftp and telnet it's stopped but will not start more.
Have you any solution for this??

Hi all, I got my solo2 this morning, first non $ky product, and I am looking to move over and replace my $sky boxes.
I have SkyHD and Sky+ multiroom, ie 2 cables into front room, and 2 into conservatory. I presume therefore I have a quad lnb. All on sky minidish, non motorised.

So, flashed the BH image and connected up the sat cables from my skyhd box to the solo2. How do I configure the inputs to replicate skyHD - ie be able to watch/record on different polarity?

So far I have set up tuner A as; advanced mode, Astra sat (19.2e), LNB1, pri:auto, LOF:universal... rest as default with diseqc mode as none. Tuner B is exactly the same except LNB2 selected.

If I then scan (without sky card in the solo2) it picks up 69 channels on tuner A. Is that right?

Also, is there a basic set up guide for BH images - so configuring internal HDD is documented etc - I can muddle my way through the menus but would be useful to know what I NEED to do and the options for best performance, as opposed to touching all the optional stuff on the image?

Was in some IPTV channels using the IPTV plugin (I cant remember the name of the plugin but is the one who comes from default in BH image). Receiver dont really crash, but keeps on loading and there's no button from RCU from in that stage. Only the rear Power Button was the solution.

From testing yesterday I just have a few more questions too, if I can :)

1. Subtitles are working now good, but not 100%. Sometimes some lines dissapear. I mean.. there's some dialogs without subtitles. Subtitles are OK. I've tested them on my PC and on another E2 receiver with the same files (same .mkv and .srt).

2. Still regarding subtitles, is it possible to choose the size and position of them?? I was looking for that but without any luck :S

3. About EPG... I'm doing something wrong for sure. Here's an example: I dont wanna use CrossEPG (and I think I have it disable), but in portuguese providers we can catch 7 day EPG without any plugin (any receiver can catch it). Whats going on with Solo2 and BH is I can catch the EPG without problems, but after some time is loosing it, and can catch it again if I change channel again, etc... Is this normal?


Also I wanna give a word about tuner sensitivity, like I said in other post. Tuner Sensitivity is GREAT! I've tested in weak sats (28E and 1W here, on the weakest freqs) and I had a good signal, more than I haver had with other receiver here! :)

Your question is not related to image.
Ftp and telenet work in all the box.
So we cannot help.
CHeck your network or reflash the box if you have deleted some file or have installed something that have corrupted your system.
We cannot know what is your problem.

you can create your own file on the website. Just google these two words (satellites.xml) following org and you will see it as firswt result (sorry, but can't give you dirtect link as we can't post links in here).

Can you turn it off using power switch on the back of your receiver?
If you have green screen your box should reboot automatically, but not sure what crash you're talking about....

If you're talking about StreamTVplayer I don't have anything like you - some channels simply playing ok, some of them not. Just make sure your router is configured correctly and access to streams is not disable.

I don't have much experience with subtitles, do not need them but have you tried to use DD subtitle player plugin?

I use BHepg (blue and red button) with epg.dat stored on USB stick. I tried CrossEPG, however it did not work for me properly. If your epg is not configured at all (CrossEPG or BHepg) you can only see epg downloaded from satellites and every single restart/reboot of your box will erase this temporary stored files and you will be able to see it again only when you'll change watching channel.

Well... :)

1) It's the player who comes from the beginning on BH images. I cant remember the name, but dont care about it because I dont use it too ;) I just said to know if is a problem from me or a general one :)

2) I've downloaded it but I never tried it! But I was talking about subtitles on Media Player part. The plugin covers it too? :)

3) I figured out now, I dont have any issues with EPG. It was CrossEPG who wasnt with a correct setup. Now all works as should be! ;)


btw... which is the normal temperature of the Solo2? I have it around 42/43ºC, but when I have my fireplace on, I can reach 47ºC! That isnt too much??

My first steps have some noobies mistakes too eheh :p

I've played with picons and by accidend install piconlcd plugin, which mess up lcd on my VU+ Solo².
Could someone please post skin_user.xml file, as I can't find it anywhere online.

Hello,
I am newbie in VU+, please help me. Using BH 1.7.9-3 , and Tuner "B" does not work at all. I tried to connect to B-tuner directly with coax without success there is no signal at all, also loop does not work. What should be the reason?
