thanks Shiro for your help so far.
Iam now going to do a reflash from scratch.
so when i go to set up swao file set it to 256 MB then what map the EPG for that partion and then install my addons or have i got it wrong just want to know that iam doing it right before i start

If U have Vu+ Duo , install the script Free-Ram and Swap enforcer , in order not to over load the STB's RAM!

I have no experience with SWAP.
I installed once for the test ,
But he was not used
Frankly I'm not thrilled if I have to add SWAP
in the image.So I never use SWAP.
Basically I use BH image in its base form.
So I can detect the real problems and bugs.
What is not possible if I put something that could be causing the problem.
My box works without SWAP days without problems.
But I use very few EPG and plugins.

So always advise
test with a clear image even a couple of days
to find out what causes the problem,
before and after you add something.

i have already started i have set rytec uk for swap file have done a clean reflash dont use meny addons maybe 3 at beat will report back later thanks.
I did say my neighour has the same problem with his duo on BH latest not just me.

In order to keep good Flash memory , I do the following:-

1- Install BH Image @Flash, keep it clean no settings, no Tuners,,,no nothing,,,,, just pure!
2- Remove all plug-in, that not used by me!
3- Mounts my HDD and USB!
4- Install Meoboot on USB ( I use only 1 partition, NO Bh Universes this time...;))
5- Install BH on meoboot....loaded with my favorite plug-ins ( more than 10) and settings,,,etc!
6- Test few images, for the fun of it,,,then go back to my BH..:inlove:!
7- Using Epg Cross,,,saving data on my HDD!
8- No Auto epg-refresh!
9- Use swap file 32M!
10- Randomly clean my RAM with Free-Ram script ( made by my friend P2P)!

Never had a crash with BH 2.02 since its published!

hello ,i would like to ask your help in a problem i have with meoboot.
Rihgt now solo2 says that meoboot runs from vu+.i have mounted a usb for flash memory and iam in avalon universe. I also have mounted and formated a sedcond usb in ext4 for meoboot use.
when i start meoboot i dont see the usb to install it. I see only two options:
a) /etc
b) /var/lib/opkg
Can you please tell me what should i do?

Into Devices Manager both USB sticks are correctly mounted?

yes they are, with the first one i go from avalon to normal with no problems. the second i see it also mounted and mapped as media usb.

i check it right now again and the second says not mapped. i mapped it again. restart and says not mapped.

but when i start the solo2 it says that meoboot runs from vu+. that means its in solos flash memory or is in the usb universe?
shall i delete meoboot too,and reinstall it?

I admit my inexperience with MeoBoot .... but I suggest to reflash your box and reinstall MeoBoot in another USB stick.
Other members of this Board hope can help you in a detailed manner without reflash.
