Maybe mediatomb is using another port.
To fix this:
1) edit file /.mediatomb/config.xml
2) find line:

<server>

3) add after:

<port>49153</port>

Now you can see webif at address: http://xxx:49153 (where xxx is the ip of your box)

when you plug your device?

I have many problems playing avi's in the latest versions and not only 1.4.4. I mean some avi's are playing ok but many dont. The strange thing is that BH 1.4.1 plays all the avi's i try and i am trying to understand what is the difference as matter lib or whatever between the 1.4.1 and all the versions after.
Imagine that i had updated the module drivers in 1.4.1 to the latest for test and still the avi's can play there fine.

Anyone has any info on this?

I have the same avi files on my HDD in Vu and on w7 pc and they still work perfectly.
Do you have your files on internal HDD or via streaming ?
Also do they play ok on another source such as pc or ps3 ?

Sure m8 the files play fine.. they are in internal HD and maybe you didnt saw what i said.. the files play fine in till BH1.4.1 after this till the latest 1.4.4 they dont. Offcourse the pc also plays the files fine. I compromised with the solution to play this non playable files with VLC but i really dont get why this is huppening really.

I suspect there is a lib or something else that i have it in 1.4.1 and this dont exist in 1.4.4
Either way i suppose is not biggy and i w8 and check every new version to see if this is fixed and till now i revert back to 1.4.1 but im not giving up i hope.

DVD player Fix for 1.4.4

I tested the DVD player, from main menu, and crashed!
So I applied the fix posted by Logan (from the BH 1.4.4Italian section) ...it works fine ,no crash!
put in /tmp...manual install!
