Hi guys,i have same problem in vu+ solo se v2. The tuner is not working fine on weak signal.this is very bad for vu+ boxes.
It's quite strange.
My boxes works like a charm with my setup.
When signal goes down (20% approx.) the main reason is the dish moement caused by wind ..... realigned dish solves my problems.

Check your dish setup

I have another problem, wheather it is weak signal or weak tuner I do not know, but a number of channels I am not able to find when I am scanning, also when I use manual scan nothing is found one of the frequencies are Hotbird 13E, 12265 V, 27500, 3/4, DVB-S2, 8PSK, nothing is found.

Any reason for that, or what am I doing wrong ?

Do you get anything on 12268 H 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4?
Try doing a re-boot, of your duo 2, via the menu shut down options, then attempt a manual scan.
You haven't confirmed if you're using a VU+ Duo 2, provided your general location, dish size, and the signal quality readings, of other transponders, using the wide beam, on 13E.

Have had multiple Duo's and one Duo2 for quite some time now and don't experience any trouble with tuner sensitivity like some others report.
Don't be too quick to blame the tuners on this receiver though.
Some compare the percentage of signal between receivers which is wrong. The percentage of signal indicated is different on all receivers and should not be used as comparison.
Before pointing the finger at 'bad tuners' check that proper quad shield RG6 cable is used, there are lots of different cables available out there with lesser quality shielding.
Run cables away from power cables.
While the screw on F-connectors are handy like in the pic of the OP, they are a poor connection compared to crimped on connectors.
Check LNB focal distance and skew.

Yes I think vu + duo2 dual tuner is weak on scanning services. Me too had problems with st 2 at 88e. Good signal quality but channels aren't scanned. No remedy for almost a year

Located my problem, with those frequencies, it's a conflict with my V-Box II, and possibly my LNB, once I take the V-Box II, out of the loop, they scan in.
Even though I'm using a twin LNB, and have the default LNB set to B, not connected to the V-Box II, it mostly selects Tuner A, the one connected to the V-Box II, to scan the transponders, except for once, when it scanned in the 20 channels.
