Ok ... Let´s help to map a USB PENDRIVE that is not mapped!

1) - Use a new ( formated USB pen to FAT32 ) <---- you can do this on your pc:

see this screenshot: ( Windows 7 ):

Format_Usb.png

Make your screen parameters look like this one --> Click Start to Format your USB Pen Drive! Click OK ---> You´ll get a message " Format Complete "

Format_Done.png

Eject The USB Pen to remove it Safely
Eject_Pen.png

Remove the USB Pen and put it on your STB.

You´ll get a msg " No displayable files on this media found "

2) - Let´s Map the USB pen drive to support your picon files.

You´ll get a msg " No displayable files on this media found

Press MENU on your RCU ( remote control unit )

Choose Black hole App's

Screen1.png

Choose Device Manager ( next screenshot )

Screen2.png

Press Ok on devices Manager to get this screen:

Screen4.png

Press RED Key and get the next screenshot:

Screen6.png

Make the screen change with your RCU ( remote control unit ) to fit like this: ( next screen ):

Screen8.png

On YES ---> Press ok to reboot your STB

Upon rebooting it ---> Your USB Pendrive must be mapped.

GOOD JOB!

Note: You can verify this by Press Menu --> Select Black Hole App´s --> Device Manager.

You have your USB mapped as /media/usb
Do This:

Go here ---> http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/open-black-hole-vu-duo2-0-1.22909/page-4#post-174646

Follow steps 5 e 6.

Reboot, you´ll have your picons installed and working for Astra 19.2 East!.

Test and reply, i am here to help not to do it for you! :victory:

yes, it´s mapped as /media/usb!

Ok, --> Do now the next steps.

follow now what i said on post http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/open-black-hole-vu-duo2-0-1.22909/page-5#post-174768

I´ve corrected the previous posts dued to file locations ---> it must be /media/usb
when you download the picons i said it will create the directory /media/usb/picon, and the picons png files are there!

reboot the box as i said, you´ll have picons on channelinfo and channellist.

best regards

Note: If they are there --> you must leave the usb pendrive " ALLWAYS " connected to your STB ( and mapped ), only take it off when you want upgrade or remount a new or backup firmware ( image ). To make it ( install or remount the firmware ), use a new pendrive, or make a backup of your picons files to your PC.

Open Black Hole 0.1

Main Features:
  • Full Hd skin (1920x1080)
  • HbbTv
  • Open GLes animations (Duo2, Solo2, SoloSE)
  • Xbmc (Duo2, Solo2, SoloSE)

Black Hole:
  • Blue panel
  • Green Panel
  • Extra Settings
  • Addons panel
  • Compatible with Pli plugins and Skins

What is Open Black Hole ?

It is an exciting new project from the same team that produce the Black Hole images.

This new project is based on the PLi git and coding infrastructure, which means it is not only Open Source, but it is also compatible with all PLi plugins, feeds and skins and it also features full online update support (for those users that do not like having to do a full reflash everytime there is an image update). We have just given it the Black Hole touch.

This means it has the Green Panel and Blue Panels as found in the standard Black Hole images, we have also added the Black Hole addons panel and included Full HD skin support, OpenGLes Animations and of course included Xbmc .

As with the standard Black Hole images, we continue to support Genuine Vu+ Boxes only and therefore our images are optimised for Vu+ boxes and will only work on these models (any Open Black Hole, or Black Hole images you see on the internet for other box models or clone models are not official images and we offer no support for those boxes or images).

Do I have to upgrade to this new Open Black Hole image ?

No you don't have to upgrade to the new Open Black Hole image, this image is completely separate from the original Black Hole image, this is simply a new image so we can offer our users more choice, if you are happy with your current image, then you can continue to use that image, if you want to try the new Open Black Hole image then you can do so.

What about the Black Hole and Black Hole Prism Images ?

For those of you worried about the standard Black Hole and Prismcube image, please don’t worry, we remain committed to the standard Black Hole and Black Hole Prism images and image updates will continue as normal, this new Open Black Hole image is an additional project and we are fully committed to all images.

Where can I find the Open Black Hole git ?

The Open Black Hole git is located here: http://git.vuplus-community.net

Hi,
I also had the same problem tried twice, locked the system down at boot. Also tried the : "Permanentclock" in downloadable plugins, this does the same again I tried twice, each time it locked the system at boot. The only way to start is to re flash, various weather programs do not work or are mainly usable in Germany or Italy with very little options for the UK. I have noticed on other VU flashes "
Does any test these recommended downloads, I have spent so much time trying to set this OS up I could have built 7/8 PC's.
The OS looks good but be very carful on extras!!
