shows clearly that the image you have on your box is not the BH but (I think) it's the original one dated September 2011.
Please update CFE and flash again with BH 1.7.2.

Are you absolutely sure you are using a fat32 formatted pen, and that you have in it folder /vuplus/duo with all files inside it?
You have also to remove all other usb devices.
I usally flash from front port.

Did you also try to download img again as it might be corrupted.

Unplug EVERYTHING From your VU+ DUO.
Only Power Cable.
Format a USB Stick (Not Quick) Fat32 and try Mito instructions as angelofsky1980/Tamaki suggested.
If this doesn't succeed then contact VU+ Support Directly.
Good Luck.

I suggest trying to flash older image just in case. BH 1.6.6 or original image 5.11 and see how it comes out.

i suggest to try the 1.7.1 then report if it is the same or not
me too, with a daily reboot timer i have some prob with the 1.7.2 boot (without touch any hw, usb port or other: exactly the same of the 1.7.1)

i still use it, but
ciao
