well i CANT flash from usb.. my box has no "i want to check that lovlie usb pen out before i try to boot thing".. :/

Reflash 1.6.6 via serial, nfi image is available.
If 1.6.6 works then just continue to next step. If not you may have a hardware problem, contact reseller.
Redo the boot loader update
Reflash with 1.7.2

the vu wont flash it.. hangs at 40% and gives me a error message step: 4 err-code: -21 :/

I think it's tome to contact your reseller and change your box ....

ahh well today i get my vu back "happy happy joy joy".. for 5 minutes.. well the box boots fine and has a cvs version of 2009
but. nah cant get it to read usb.. i am so angry right now.. 2 weeks i been waiting and they cant get the box run proper.

anyone has any suggestions?

You may update the STB CFE and install BH 1.72!
However I would recommend to read few posts @ the forum...and make sure to choose the right update and image for your toy!
And U will have Fun again,,,!

Try Different Manufacturer USB Stick/Pen/Flash Drives.
The issue may be incompatible USB hardware.

Is there a trick to be able to send the ctrl+C command while booting. I tried many times. Pressing it like crazy, letting it pressed at boot time etc... but I could not get any prompt.
