Does this image have PCSC drivers all installed? Can't go into details to stay within the rules but can't get a PCSC device to connect even after loading the same drivers that work in an Ultimo.

PCSC support is present. Enable it into Blue Panel.

Is it possible with single LNB configuration to setup normally tuner A and loopthrough tuner B to A ?

If I swap the antenna cable from tunerA to B and change the configuration of loopthrough the internal HDD is not recognized and I have to reformat it. There must be a bug in there...
I also got no answer why my previous recordings on my external HDD that worked fine on Solo1 are not recognized on solo2. It asks me to mount the HDD but it is not mounted... I guess I have to reformat it but I don't want my recordings to be erased...

I am asking again how I can use PIP and PAP since nobody has explained it. I try to record one channel but I cannot watch any other channel simultaneously on the other loopthrough tuner...

What's the difference of 1080i and 1080p. 1080p is only for movies playback or does it make any difference in sattelite programs watching?
How about the support for HD audio formats? (DTS master audio and Dolby TrueHD)

A transcoding guide is also much needed !

@znik Half of these questions you have is already answered in this thread.
So read first posts and use Forum search.

Old recordings from solo,duo2,ultimo working fine on solo2
This means that probably you have wrong mount or bad paths to recordings.

Why you not test on your TV.

What is the difference between 1080i and 1080p you can find on the internet with google search.

You can't, as the Solo2 does not have an lnb out.
I decided to connect the co-axial cable coming down from the LNB to LNB In of the DM500
and then from its LNB Out I connected a small loop cable to LNB 1 Input of the Vu+ Solo2 (they are next to each other).
Until now they both work fine and I can change Sats from any one of them, same as before.
Naturally, for this to work, one Receiver has to be on Standby, same as before.
As yet I haven't noticed any problems....hopefully.

It's very very simple.

Providers change transponders quite often, therfore the satellite.xml file needs to be updated when you do a scan, otherwise it will always look at the old transponder, as that is the info written in the xml file.

So in simple terms, vahniball obviously is more upto date then the reinhard xml.

Solved!
I've generated a new settings.xml but some channels (cinema 1, cinema +24.....and others on the same transponder) didn't still work.
Today I've installed the new vu+ dvb drivers of 10.01.2013 and abracadabra everything is working fine now!

Matrix10 I have read the previous posts but were not helpful to me.

On solo1 the external USB HDD was set as /media/hdd.
Now I have an internal HDD on solo2 set as /media/hdd.
How should I set the path of the 2nd external USB HDD with all my recordings inside?
If I set it either as /media/hdd or /media/USB it doesn't mount it... :(

Two storage device CANNOT have the same mount point.
Change a device mountpoint (I suggest external HDD) and place it mounted into /media/usb from Device Manager.

angelefsky I have tried /media/usb as well but with no result.
I have even unmounted the internal HDD and tried /media/hdd , media/usb, media/video with no result for my external USB HDD.
The same disk was formated and mounted fine on solo1.
I really not know what else I should try apart from format it .

connect you hdd to your receiver
go to blue/blue/device manager and write down here what devices and mountpoints are there

I have installed a Samsung 64GB SSD disk as internal disk.
I 've just tried connecting a 160GB Toshiba disk to an external USB enclosure, formatted it (ext4 format on solo2) and mounted the internal Samsung as /media/hdd and the external Toshiba as media/usb.
This time it worked and both disks were mounted fine.

However, the previous external 320GB WD HDD that I had formatted on solo1 and contains all my previous recordings cannot be mounted in any way! (even if I unmount the internal SSD)
I cannot recall in what protocol I had formatted it on solo1 but I believe it is ext3.
The only solution that will make it work I believe is reformating it on my new solo2, but all my recordings will be gone.
Is there any way to connect it to my PC and access my data? Windows doesn't support ext3 formats.

I cannot think of anything else apart from incompatibility

Can you re-connect the 320GB WD HDD to solo1 and transfer its contents to PC (by FTP)
and then from PC transfer the contents again onto the newly mounted disks on solo2?

@znik

try attached file - it should allow you to READ ext2,3 and 4 on windows machine.

thanks a lot darian23 !
At last I've managed to get my recordings back and move them by ethernet to the new HDD of my solo2!

today I found my internal HDD not mounted...
I tried again to mount it but with no result. I even reformated it but in no way could it be remounted!
I had to jump out of Avalon universe to BH, where it mounted with no problems. Back to avalon and hopefully it remained mounted.
Please take a look into it.
