HowTo flash/update Vu+ images

i tried by myself and i upgraded to cfe 3.0
after by usb i flash the dec from 1.6.6 to 1.7.2 and after to 2.1.0.1 ferrari v2 version
and all is ok.
wonderful!!!!!
i have only a problem the hdmi port doesn't work anymore from the 1 time that i unplugged from the tv because i moved to another city.
no i can plug the decoder only by scart cable....
is there a test that i can do to check the hdmi or can i repair the port?

hello i currently have the BH 1.7.8 version on my VuSolo
can i update it directly to 2.1.1 or do i have to update my BL & kernel?

Hi is there something in the settings of latest BH image which will stop me from flashing a different image. I like the BH image but fancy a change and have tried to flash 3 different images, all with same results. Either gets stuck on BH black screen or on the Blue screen which says 'booting' in bottom right corner. Have tried Vix Open ATv and VTI images. don't have any problem reflashing to BH image

There shouldn't be a problem. Try a different USB stick, or try formatting your current USB stick, and try again.
Which model VU+ receiver have you got?

Hi Mick,
got a Solo2. Never had a problem before using same stick, but have tried a different one with same results??

Hi, looking for advise, have a Brand spanking new Vu+ Duo 2 on the way, a little nervous, do I need to update drivers like I've heard before flashing, can can anyone post a link a where to download latest Black Hole image for Vu+ Duo2 please? These are probably silly questions but am a newbie. Lastly, have a 2TB 3.5" drive to go in it, from what I read above need t format it and do I put it in before flashing? Thanks

Hi Mick12334, thanks so much, much appreciated. One last question, i had heard scare stories about updating drivers on box first or are the drivers updated in black hole 2.1.1 automatically? Lastly, as it's a new box, do I flash it from first turning on or do i let it install it's original software with it's wizard first before flashing BH? Thanks

Just flash new image and go through the set up wizard.You might want to install a ready made sat/channel list after that to get you going.Drivers are already updated in new image so don't worry

Great, thanks Robocop1967, so when I take out of box and plug in will have the BH flash on a usb already in USB drive and formatted hard drive installed before first switching on. Think I have it now. Was just a bit scared as they are not cheap. Appreciate the help everyone, thanks

i have vu+ solo since 2012 i didn't put flash so today i have flashed the box everything good but when ejecting the usb and turning on the im bloked on a blan screen ? can anyone told me the solution ?
