I would go onto EBAY and then contact some of the suppliers on there selling similiar items, as if they have this part..

I am going to try this tonight, as Box has Red Light & not booting, so here is hoping ;-)

Hi all

My VU+ Duo had been crashing and often had the red LED and would not boot, cycling the power would get it to boot.

I just replaced C807 with a 1000uf 105deg C good quality panasonic electrolytic capacitor, my theory being I only want to change it the once, so fit a good quality, the increased capacitance will have no harm and it's only used as a ripple smoothing capacitor from the voltage regulator.

The cap package is slightly larger but fits no problem.

Have DUO nearly 3 years should I replace the c1087 220uf 16V capacitor now or wait for the red light if death?

Over the last few days I am having freezing problems with my vu+duo (not clone). I have it about 3 years. After 20-25 minutes working it's beginning to spinning, it's became very very slowly, and almost I can't change to any channel. Img. 2.0.9, no plugins, only FTA channels, HDD not connected. The processor, and the metal cooler on the motherboard is 30-32 C. I replace the c807, but same results . Any advice wold be great.

humm...
reflash the box... the signall is ok? (check lnb connections and antenna orientation...)

I will be replacing the voltage regulator too (U801). I was wondering if U802 and U805 (together with their associated capacitors) may have also become stressed and that it would be good practice to replace them at the same time. i.e. if I've had temperature problems that has led to one failure then there's a good chance that the other two regulators have also suffered even if they haven't yet failed.

last week I replaced the original capacitor C807 (16V 220mf) with new one (25V 330mf) but the problem remained and nothing changed, and now, I`ve changed the U801 & U802 regulators (no. Z1021AI) with new ones and also 3capacitors with original capacity again (16V 220mf) and every thing goes well and finally resolve the problem successfully.

my vu + duo not illuminate it with a red lamp I try to change with another capacitor C807 and yet I change AOZ1021ai but nothing special Still the same problem and I order a xilinx jtag but I do not know how it works please can you help me ?????

We haven't official informations about JTag use ....

if there is no red light at all, I would be looking at the powersupply
