Solo2 Transcoding still poor quality

im in a vacation so i can't test, but you must delete pyo file first, after this change value in py file, save and restart gui (after restart gui stb compile py file to pyo)

No way, changing default bitrate cause a loss in quality (real bitrate upstreamed fall down)....

I think this is wrong ??? because I use VLC without no problem at all.
perhaps it's the #EXTVLCOPT row's ?? try to remove them,
or use "tuner server" (blue-blue) to make those m3u instead of saving from web gui.

btw doing some testing atm with the py file on my Solo2 will come back with result.

what am i doing wrong?
because i use successfully the transcoding plugin when using ios or android software but with vlc and windows operating system i am getting black screen in vlc (it loads the channel but nothing playing)

Kindly, exactly how are you trying,
can you please open one of your m3u files in an editor and copy and past it here,
and what version of o/s and vlc are you using ??
((I have same problem when saving m3u from webgui but removing #EXTVLCOPT row's help
but if I open directly in browser it works.
But I prefer create them with "tuner server" and change host and port there less job ))

If you have problems with vlc, try to play the stream from 8002 port with Media player classic (about 25sec to open) or Windows media player (about 90sec to open) from your Pc.

I'm also testing for transcode if it can be changed the default value, so any other informations from your will be helpful. Of course if there are news from my side, it will be my pleasure to share with you.

hello,
i tried that but with no result
bs player and windows media player denied to play the channel and vlc just play black screen.
i also tried the icon of 8001 port with success on pc but it freezes all the way.
is there any setting on vlc that i can make work watching channels with the 8001 icon?or is a upload problem playing channels from 8001 port?
i have 780 kbps upload and use vlc 2.0.5 and windows 7

...it worked for me with potplayer(still poor quality but o.k)
as for xbmc is there anywhere a tutorial for streaming over the internet as i get continuously the message("connection lost-no pvr client started"?

- Fix DTSHD downmix & passthrough
- Support more than 4 tuners(vtuner) in duo2 and ultimo
- Fix DVB-C/T tuner recognition(duo2)
- Fix play/pause in solo2(when duo2's new remote control is used)
- Fix Xcrypt card detection problem(duo2, solo2, uno, ultimo)
- Support transcoding bitrate/framerate setup (solo2, 50K<bitrate<1M, Change is in effect in the subsequent connection )

and everything now is clean ;)

When will be testable? It's very important to me, if they solve this issue I can really consider to buy a Solo2 :happy:

AT LAST! Yes now you can change the default values of the transcode! The plugin now gives the oportunity to change the values of the Bitrate (from 100kbps - 500kbps - 1M - 1,5M, 2M, ... to 5Mbps) and of the Framerate (23,976 - 24 - 29,970 - 30 - 59,940 - 60 fp)
Like the friend says above...
and everything now is clean ;)

After installed new drivers you have to update the transcoding plugin
1) unzip the file and substitute to the original in the folder /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/TransCodingSetup
2) restart e2
